Hotspot officers tackle shoplifting and drugs |
||
We’ve been engaging closely with the local community in Burton again this weekend as part our ongoing #problemsolvingpolicing patrols. On Friday (5 September), officers found cannabis when they stopped and searched a man on New Street. A 25-year-old man, from Loughborough, was given a community resolution. Officers stopped and searched another man in the town and found a pair of M&S trainers with a security tag attached. The item was returned to the store and a 37-year-old man, from the Burton area, was given a community resolution. It comes after officers conducted patrols through the town, engaging with retailers, members of the public and security staff. They were asked to engage with and give words of advice to several people causing issues. It forms part of our work to target crime and community concerns in hotspot locations with visible patrols, putting officers on the beat and helping us to engage closely with the people we serve. #VisibleLocalTrusted | ||
